The mangoes are delicious, and chock full of nutritional benefits. They contain pre-biotic dietary fiber, are an excellent source of vitamin A and antioxidants, and some studies have shown that they help combat against certain cancers.
Something this tasty is quite a treat when you’re on a Paleo diet.
Traditionally, Mango Lassi has yogurt and cardamom in it. Since I’m making this drink for Hubster as well as myself, adding yogurt was not an option. Furthermore, I’m allergic to cardamom, so I replaced it with cinnamon, which I think tastes better anyway.
Writing “cardamom” before the word “cinnamon” makes Julie write “cinnamom”.
Paleo Mango Lassi

- 2-4 Servings
- 2 Ripe Mangoes
- 1 1/2 cup of full-fat, canned Coconut Milk
- 2 TBSP of local, raw Honey
- A dash of cinnamon
Slice up your mangoes. Place them in the blender, along with the coconut milk and honey.
You can purée the mangos first, then send it through a strainer to sort out the fibers for a smoother mix. Then add the coconut milk and honey. We left them in because they’re still good for you to eat!
Purée; what you’ll get resembles creamy pudding. If it is too thick, add more coconut milk or water until you get your desired consistency.
Top with a dash of cinnamon and enjoy!
